Okay so my friend’s husband makes these incredible sugary pecan thingies. I just call them sweet nuts. They’re usually at festivals and I am crazy about them! Well, she kindly mailed me the recipe… so I made them today and I’m in nut heavennnn. They make your entire house smell like sugary cinnamon magicalness. Make these you guys! Throw them in a bag with a bow and you have a cheap christmas present! Okay not so cheap, pecans are like $50 a pound or something stupid. So eat these like a fine delicacy. Yum.
Old Fashioned Roasted Pecans
1 lb pecan halves
1 egg white
1 tbsp water
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
Beat egg white & water until frothy. Mix sugar, salt, cinn. Mix egg white + pecans. Mix w/sugar mixture. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.
