thank you jesus for these gorgeous days!! today i made cake balls! shoot they are just too frickin cute! and so easy! listen up moms, wannabe moms, other people, or men who like to make cake balls, these are so easy, so fun, and sweet toothy. i gave these away as gifts today and everyone loved them!
- ingredients: box cake mix (anything you want! i used red velvet)
: 16oz tub of frosting (any will do! i used cream cheese)
: half bag semi sweet/ half bag milkchoc chocolate chips/ 3 tbs shortening
-directions: bake the cake according to instructions. when cool, trim off the edges. dump into a large bowl and beat with a mixer till you have fine crumbs. add 3/4 of your frosting and blend. spoonfeed the rest of the frosting to your grandma. she will freak the heck out. take the mixture and roll small balls in between your hands and put on a wax papered plate. your hands will be mother effin messy by this point. put these ball babies in the freezer for like an hour.
: double broiler your chocolate chips and shortening. when melted dunk your balls into the mix and put them back on wax paper. sprinkle them with love. and then put them in the fridge until you’re ready to eat.
yay balls!
